Future Consumer Limited Analysis with peers

Dear members,

Today I am posting some detailed comparative analysis on Food sector's 4 stocks.

And shortlisted my favorite stock and from well known Group.

• Future Retail runs the nation’s biggest chain of stores, by market value.

• This company was previously knows as Future Ventures, after restructuring, capital reduction and hiving off few business, this company is now sole FMCG play, having commissioned food park and started supplying packed snacks, juices and various other groceries thru KB fair price shop, Big Bazaar, Go Bananas, Big Apple, Aadhar wholesale store.

• Future Group and Kishore Biyani is main Promoter of the Company.

• Group Company Future Retail’s (FRL), the retail network will provide Future Consumer a platform to customize and innovate its product offerings and drive sales.

• The flagship company of the Future Group, has incubated, nurtured and brought to maturity several businesses and formats, including FCH, Future Generali Insurance, Future Supply Chain, Future Agrovet, Future Media, Future Brands, Future Bazaar, Pantaloons, Central, Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, Home Town and E–zone.

•  The International Finance Corporation has invested over Rs. 391.8 crore in Future Consumer stock as per the most recent filings. What is interesting is also that Future Consumer is the only Indian  company  IFC has made new investments in. 

• Kishore Biyani is unfazed by the challenges and said he aims to add 2.5 million square feet of retail store space in coming years, accounting for half of the industry’s total expansion plans. The group, which runs hypermarket chain Big Bazaar in India, wants to reach 1 trillion rupees ($15 billion) in revenue by 2021 from current sales of 180 billion rupees.

• Company is likely to be profitable at the consolidated net level only in FY19.

Care Mate : Personal Hygiene products

Sunkist : American brand, licensed from Growers Inc

Sach by Sachin Tendulkar : Personal Hygiene Etc

and host of other business including Unisex Salon, Amar Chitra Katha, etc

Financial numbers are not worth looking at this stage.


HOLD FOR LONG-TERM INVESTMENT 
FOR TARGET OF 100,150 IN 3-5 YEARS..
